Description: Sun Cakes are moist, delicious and nutrient-packed almond chiffon olive oil cakes.
 
Olive oil makes our cakes soft and luxurious. It is full of antioxidant polyphenols and monounsaturated fatty acids that are gut healthy and help to reduce our body’s LDL (low density lipoproteins), or “bad cholesterol”, which have been found to promote heart disease and stroke.
 
To add sweetness, we use a blend of organic honey, allulose and chicory root fiber. Allulose is a cousin of cane sugar and tastes just like it, but has a glycemic index of 0, and does not cause gas and bloating like sugar alcohols. Chicory fiber is a prebiotic that is supportive of a healthy gut microbiome and also adds sweetness without causing blood sugar spikes. There are no sugar alcohols, preservatives or artificial sweeteners in our cakes.
 
Each cake is individually packaged and designed to be taken on-the-go, eaten right out of the pack, or to be incorporated into a meal with fruit, yogurt or ice cream--you name it. Each piece of cake boasts an impressive nutritional profile of 500 IU Vitamin D (an 80% Daily Value), 5g Fiber, 5g Protein, and are gluten-, dairy- and trans fat free.
